GoldenSource Platform 10.1 Release Notes

Foundational. Flexible. Future-Forward.

GoldenSource Platform 10.1 introduces significant advancements in processing, data lineage, analytics, and usability. With a foundation migrated to modern technologies and new integrations across OMNI, our Snowflake Native App, this release strengthens scalability, compliance, and data integrity while accelerating time-to-value for business users.

Platform Enhancements

Data Lineage – Vendor Mappings

  • Enables capture and visualization of the complete data lifecycle from vendor sources to final destination.
  • Records metadata around source origin, transformations, processes, and ultimate storage.
  • Provides stronger data governance and supports creation of reusable data products.

FlowStudio

  • Fully integrated into the platform for end-to-end usability from the thick client.
  • Modernized UI/UX for faster navigation and improved user experience.
  • Browser-based access for greater accessibility and cross-platform support.
  • Orchestrator Insights module delivers cluster-wide monitoring metrics for simplified oversight.

Entity-Based Processing Engine

  • Core engine migrated from C++ to Java, aligning with industry best practices for scalability, maintainability, and integrations.
  • Enhanced Entity Matching: Improved ID uniqueness and consistency; configurations in read-only format.
  • TimeSeries Enhancements: Streamlined into a single configuration XML covering normal and conditional setups.
  • Locking Mechanism: Auto-locking now configurable at normal or perpetual levels.
  • Completeness: Decoupled from default processing with on-demand evaluation and tagging.
  • Reference Engine Business Rules: Refactored into validation vs. message processing for clarity and maintainability.
  • Exception Management: Database-level validations reduce reliance on process-layer exceptions, lowering operational overhead.

MDS Enhancements

  • Spread Surface: Configurable spread plotting to accelerate curve exception analysis.
  • Historical Contributor Analysis: Compare rates, prices, or volatility across vendors and internal systems over configurable time windows.
  • Template-Based Comments: Introduced at User/Group/Role levels for standardized exception resolution and faster adoption.
  • Audit Reporting: Python-based framework built on Quant Workbench enables quicker compliance checks and exception reviews.
  • Python Empowerment: Derive prices and key figures with dynamic tolerance detection using Python scripts within the MDS Derivation Framework.
  • Time Series Curve Visualization: Integrated view to identify anomalies and exceptions across entire curves.
  • Quant Workbench Integration with Time Series: Embedded correlation and PCA analysis directly into Time Series UI for advanced diagnostics.

OMNI Enhancements

Expanded Data Coverage

  • Over 350 new attributes added to the Refined schema, including Private Markets (fund structures, capital calls, distributions, valuations), security reference data, benchmarks, and classifications.
  • Enables enhanced reporting on exposure, performance, and portfolio transparency.

Data Observability

  • Data lineage and aggregation tools extended to Refined and Structured zones to provide full traceability across data flows.

Data Quality & Reconciliation

  • Sync check functionality automatically validates alignment of raw vendor sources with structured/refined zones, highlighting exceptions.
